For a long time, I struggled with self-worth.

I found myself in situations, relationships, and life chapters that slowly drained my energy, dimmed my confidence, and made me question who I was. I spent too much time listening to outside opinions, trying to be what others needed me to be, while becoming further disconnected from myself.

Eventually, I reached a point where something inside me shifted.

I realised I didn’t want to live in survival mode anymore. I didn’t want to stay in environments that felt heavy, negative, or lacking in respect. I didn’t want to keep shrinking myself to make others comfortable.

So I chose differently.

Leaving behind a long-term relationship that no longer aligned with the life I wanted was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made—but also one of the most empowering.

That was the beginning of finding myself again.

I started small.

Self-growth books. Meditation. Quiet moments of reflection. Learning how to heal instead of just cope.

And somewhere along that journey, I discovered affirmations — not as empty words, but as powerful reminders of what we’re capable of believing, becoming, and creating when we begin speaking to ourselves differently.

What I came to understand is this:

It’s not something to be ashamed of.

Sometimes it’s a rebirth.

To become hopeful again.
